Mission: Improve the everyday life of people and businesses by reducing and controlling their spending on energy through our commitment to the following three core values: trust, respect and the constant pursuit of excellence.
I have been working at DNE Resources full-time (More than 3 years)
The consultants actually care about their clients and solve real problems from their customers perspectives. With the current energy markets going through so much transition the job feels more like a public service than a grueling 9-5. It makes for a real positive working atmosphere when you have a great team and your clients are actually thankful for your services.
I'm surprised at the amount of knowledge and experience I've picked up working here over the past two years. It takes a lot of self discipline and perseverance to get past the initial hurdle of learning a new trade on the job. Many people have started with DNE since I've been here and left within the first month due to lack of income. This is a career that builds over time based on personal efforts. The statement " You get what you give" has never had a more honest outlet than DNE. The consultants that focus solely on the value they can consistently provide for their clients succeed. Many have been here for years and earn a very good income doing something they love. Myself included.
Other pros are: The team atmosphere, the integrity of our services, the company trips, constant training related to evolving market conditions, goal setting exercises, regular team outings, incentives, bonuses and the general confidence that comes with creating your own financial freedoms.
They should screen new hires a little more aggressively, some of them seem to think they should be experts in the first 2 weeks and don't survive the reality of of building a lasting business.
The coffee could use an upgrade.
Advice to Management
Focus more on the team's strengths and lead by example. Try not to invest so much time in keeping people who don't have the drive to guarantee results for themselves.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at DNE Resources (Montreal, QC) in July-2016.
Sent in my C.V. and was contacted reasonably quickly. Set an appointment to be interviewed a day later. Met with the hiring manager for the sector I would be working in, asked a couple standard questions regarding previous work experience. Discussed what the job would entail. A few psychological questions to understand your temperament and then discussed how it would affect your job performance. Asked for 2 references and then said they would get back to me. Started to work there less than a week later.
