I have been working at D2L full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Senior leadership truly cares about both their employees and the difference their product is making in the world. I love getting to work for a company where our vision of transforming the way the world learns isn't just a slogan on a wall but the foundation upon which we do business. This is a fast growing company with big ambitions for the future. The Kitchener office is a bright and friendly place to work. My coworkers are incredible!

    Cons

Had to navigate change as we grow, worth it to be a part of a growing company though! Every large organization has people who don't embody the culture and get caught up in gossip, but overall the people and culture here are both top notch. No cross-functional leadership development track.

    Advice to Management

Never lose your passion for what we do and never stop giving your people opportunities to hear your passion, it is so powerful!

    Community Manager Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at D2L (Kitchener, ON) in August-2016.

    Interview

First round - call. The interviewer called me and started first off with asking me about myself/my experience. Continued on to ask why I wanted to work at D2L, what I thought a Community Manager did, etc.

Overall it was a simple interview that I was not fully prepared for, which was my own issue. Second round of interviews would've been a face-to-face interview, followed by a presentation.
