Mission: Conagra Brands has the most energized, highest-impact culture in food. We persistently challenge and disrupt marketplace/business conventions and we are respected for our great brands, great food, great margins and consistent results.
I worked at Conagra Brands full-time (More than 8 years)
The company started out great, treated people well, had incentives for doing well & hitting targets. Manager was easy to talk to & great gap between H/O and field level. Great, top products that are easily recognized - promoted at store level with great incentives regularly Paid well, car allowance, autonomy. Day to day job was enjoyable & fun - store mgrs. worked well with me. - great relationships
With the changing eating / health habits of consumers, majority of ConAgra brands are not doing as well and the heat is on. Company has purchased other companies and brought in new one's from the US portfolio - increased work load for reps.- both in store and admin - means the good feelings of having fun & making meaningful contribution are replaced with feeling so burdened down, my legs were going to slip out from under me. Young people come and go, I watched 1/2 dz. come & go in my 1/2 dz yrs. in the territory...
Advice to Management
Make it very clear to long time sales staff what can be dropped and what needs to be kept up because with all the new brand launches & line extensions as well as admin...we keep doing it all and it cant be done...
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at Conagra Brands (Toronto, ON).
Found the job on one of the websites and connected with a friend there. She helped in getting me through to the phone interview. Followed by 2 1-1 interviews with the hiring manager
