I have been working at Cloud for Good full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Since everyone is a remote employee, company tries to make sure people feel connected but as others have said, remote isn’t for everyone. This year was our first full Cloud for Good meet-up. It was great to see everyone in person. It makes a difference.
Collaborative workplace where consultants are encouraged to ask for help. Sometimes you’re working with a team, other times, you’ll be on a project by yourself, so you must be able to work in both environments. I’ve always enjoyed working with my colleagues.
Everyone seems invested in doing a professional job for their clients. We make sure we share both professional and personal milestones and accomplishments.
Company will pay for your Salesforce certification exams and policies around professional development are improving.
    Travel requirements are minimal.

    Cons

Working from home can be challenging and consulting work is not for everyone. You must manage your time and workload or it can overwhelm you.

    Advice to Management

Constant drive for growth should sometimes be tempered to focus on retention and nurturing of existing employees. As others have stated, documentation of methodologies and processes needs work.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cloud for Good (Saint Louis, MO (US)) in April 2019.

    Interview

I only made it through the initial screening interview. It was a zoom video meeting. I was informed that I was not being selected to move forward due to the lack of consulting experience. I don't think she meant to, but it was pretty obvious that she was not impressed with me during the interview. It was also hard to judge because she was not feeling well, but the interview was not a casual flowing conversation that made me feel at ease like I thought it would be. I did a lot of research on the company before I applied and also watched their "Career Day" video, and I took away that they all love their job and easy to get along with, and the interviews were more conversational rather than question, answer, move on type of thing which was my case. After my interview was over, I started questioning whether or not this is really a place I would want to work based solely on my interview. The video also makes the company seem like they are willing to hire people with not a ton of consulting experience, but that was not the case, because I had some consulting experience (some that talked on the video had none) and they said I didn't have enough experience. My assumption has been they are looking for the best of the best now because their company is big enough and they are not desperate for consultants. Overall, it was a huge let down because I was super excited to work for this company and spent a lot of time on my application and didn't get it. They were very quick to respond initially and they also followed up exactly when they said they would. Their email telling me I didn't get selected was very kind and I appreciated the feedback they did give me. With that said, from all my research, I feel like this would still be a great company to work for and wish you, applicants, the best of luck :)
