Cisco is an amazing company to work for, you really feel you are best in the world and best for the world. Work life balance is great, and tremendous opportunity to try new things.
Innovation is sometimes hard to achieve. Like most companies you need to be in the right circles to get support for your ideas.
Advice to Management
Provide more autonomy down the reporting chain. There are a lot of smart people working there yet decision making is reserved by a few key high up execs/architects. This limits creativity and innovation, even the process of experimentation can feel stifled.
