    Pros

Excellent management with clear vision that is transmitted across the company. Attainable goals and objectives. Most of the personnel are willing to collaborate.

    Cons

The company is leaving Canada as result of the Oil and Gas price slump. There is a huge job incertitude.

    Advice to Management

Make sure all employees are onboard with the Change Management initiatives. Employees and contractors require clear updates on the sale of the firm.

    Procurement Specialist Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Calgary, AB
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Centrica (Calgary, AB) in December-2014.

    Interview

After learning from a past project manager I enjoyed working for that his current company was hiring for this role, I provided him my resume to submit directly. Within a month, HR called to request an interview after an employee referral... I had a 30 minute interview with the VP of Supply Chain Management. He asked mostly company culture questions to get a sense of whether I would be a good fit for the corporate culture and his team. After the interview I received an offer letter within the week.

    Interview Questions

    • What would say gave you the greatest satisfaction in your last role?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

After the offer letter was received, I followed up with a counter offer, based on shared risk taking by the company and myself. HR forwarded my response to the VP of supply chain, and he responded with a break down of the benefits package which would actually exceed my counter offer on a performance basis. I then accepted the offer.
