I have been working at Carillion Canada full-time (More than 5 years)
Some people benefit from flex hours or work from home options
Senior Management either have no accountability or authority/ability to make decisions. Very UK based - Canadian business is an afterthought. We have a spider webbed mess of a reporting structure; we're manually entering and manipulating data to make it relevant; where technology should be helping it's actually hindering because it doesn't work for Canada.
Toxic work environments; no resources and no clear vision or understanding of what we actually do.
Advice to Management
If you are going to work in a country, research it and understand it first instead of invading it. Live your values! Have a purpose other than profit.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Carillion Canada (Thunder Bay, ON) in November-2016.
Was your tipical interview. The same questions I have been asked over the years. Very typical. The Superintendant and Office Manager interviewed me taking turns asking questions. They were very easy to talk to and made me feel good and that I had a genuine shot at the job.
