    Approves of CEO

I have been working at CareCru as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Legit CEO who has been there, done it, and was crazy enough to want to do it again. He is relentless in his pursuit of success, which is the kind of person you want leading an early stage company. The team is a very smart and fun bunch of people. Convenient office location Downtown Vancouver. Snacks, coffee, waffles on Wednesdays, pizza parties, etc. Hard working people who are passionate, but know when to relax and have fun. Work culture that supports initiative. If you need a SOP to get anything done, this is not the place for you.

    Cons

It is an early stage company and that comes with challenges. You can decide to embrace them and turn them into opportunities or... not. Attitude is key. It's not for everyone, and that's okay. Bring your own device is a little weird for employees.

    Advice to Management

No need to post advice to management on a public forum when you can walk right into the CEO's office and tell him exactly what's on your mind. Otherwise... We should really invest in a good drip coffee machine because that Keurig makes gross coffee and those cups are terrible for the environment.

    Frontend Engineer Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CareCru (Vancouver, BC) in September 2020.

    Interview

Everything went as smoothly as possible. I went through 5 phases until the final decision. The first one with HR, the second one with Engineer Lead, the third one was a home assignment with 4 questions from basic coding skill to intermediate React problem-solving skills. The fourth phase was with the Engineer Lead and another Senior Frontend Engineer to do a 2hrs live coding using React and Redux. I wasn't able to finish but they were very helpful along the way. The last one was with the Product leader to get more insights about their product and services (but not a real interview I would say for this last one).

I got all the feedback very quickly and I really enjoyed it.
