I have been working at Brainnwave full-time (More than a year)
A group of people that feel more like a family than anywhere else I've worked. Loads of things out of hours, social stuff etc and genuine desire to socialise with employees partners, children and so on.
Unlimited holidays are a big plus - saves stress about wondering if I can manage time off.
Enjoyable work - if data, geospatial stuff, or anything related to data processing is your bag (I love maps, so it's always interesting for me!)
Great salary too - no complaints in that department, and definitely not left feeling like I've been short changed in any way.
One of the only places I've woken up in the morning and been happy to come to work.
Perhaps a bit more variety in the work would be good - but as the company grows, and we work with more and more clients, that will change anyway.
Advice to Management
Keep doing a good job :)
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Brainnwave (Edinburgh, Scotland (UK)) in March-2018.
Bit of a unique process, since I came onboard as a contractor via secondment from a UX/service-design agency. After 6 months I was offered a full-time position with the company.
As a result, the interview ended up being a dummy project brief and solution via the agency, who vetted my ability on behalf of Brainnwave.
Following that, it was just my performance and ability in the first few months of my contract that led to the job - Originally a 12 month contract, but cut short because I was offered the position.
