I have been working at Boyden World full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

great culture, supportive management, fast-paced, emphasis on professionalism, professional development is encouraged, pride in what we do, work-life balance. Also excellent benefit package. Been longer in this organization than any other and very happy here.

    Cons

each office is independently owned, so can vary, but sometimes roles can be a little undefined, but feedback is encouraged and management is open door. Structure is a little flat - there is room for advancement, but only to a point.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Boyden World (Calgary, AB) in March 2017.

    Interview

Telephone pre-screen followed by emails to confirm an in-person interview. Both the posting and pre-screen missed a key job requirement which came out in the in-person interview. I found the interviewer to be abrupt and borderline rude. This was one of those experiences as an interviewee where you just have to grit your teeth and not say "thanks for wasting my time."
