More direct recognition could be improve
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Bond Brand Loyalty.
Preparing for an interview at a senior level takes a lot of time, effort and arrangements to be away from your current place of employment. I was disappointed with the level of respect for the time it takes to apply, prepare and present for such a role. The interview was rescheduled multiple times to accommodate their calendar changes, this isn't entirely out of the ordinary, but when I came to the interview the main hiring manager wasn't even available and I was not made aware of this until after I had already met with 3 people. I was never told by HR about this and even after the interviews I completed, I was not contacted to have it explained to me, apologize, re-schedule it or provide any update whatsoever.
During the interview, I had pages of detailed notes of every single person’s background in the room, questions for each of them and many questions about the role...which no person could answer as they weren't the hiring manager or working directly on any of the teams. I was never asked any actual skill questions regarding the role.
I have a strong sense that the position was already filled when I got there. Not a great use of time. I only heard back over a month later with a short note to say the position was filled.
