The employee experience at BCA is exceptional! Lots of opportunity to learn and grow within the roles, and lots of people willing to help you grow. The entire compensation package is pretty fair, and the organization does its best to provide tools and opportunities for those who want flexible work environment and a work/life balance. The people who work here are awesome and kind-hearted; it's been amazing to meet so many people across the different divisions, and everyone always makes the time to introduce themselves and chat.
The interviewing and onboarding process was excellent. I was given everything I needed to know and provided a hands on training experience which worked well with my learning style. I had amazing support along the way, which really elevated the experience for me. Everyone was helpful and always made time to answer my many questions.
Overall, I love the work that I do, the people that I work with, and the organization as a whole.
Although BCA is more progressive than other crown corporations, the technology we use is not the most efficient and effective. However, BCA has made good progress in acquiring new technologies and continues to strive towards innovation and becoming digitally fluent.
Advice to Management
Continue to create safe spaces for people to share ideas and collaborate. Continue to question why we do the things we do, and stay curious to how we can improve and innovate our existing processes and systems.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BC Assessment in September-2016.
It was a WebEx interview with 4 different panels. I was given the 4 questions prior to the interview. Very straightforward, the interviewer were for most of the time taking down notes. They did ask some questions after my answer but were really easy to answer, no stumpers. It was very relaxed, which I really liked.
