I have been working at BAE Systems USA full-time
This is my first job out of college and it's a great place to gain experience while reaping the benefits of a well-oiled machine like BAE Systems. Decent pay, health benefits, and a tuition reimbursement program all attracted me to this job.
As a technician, you are mostly working alone at your desk all day with minimal social interactions. The tasks you must preform can get repetitive, but it's the nature of the work.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BAE Systems USA (Mount Laurel, NJ (US)) in June-2018.
Preliminary phone interview (30 minutes) and then met for an in-person interview about a week later (2 - 2.5 hours). I met with three employees during the in-person interview and answered questions.
We were honored to be recognized as one of the top Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Certified companies at the 2018 Virginia Women Veterans Summit, for hiring 259 Women Veterans in 2017, ranking 3rd among all V3-certified companies!
V3 companies have demonstrated to the commonwealth that they have made a public commitment to hire and value veterans.
We recently saw the return of the BAE Systems Bake Off at our Rochester, UK site, raising money for our partner charity, Hounds for Heroes. Ten cakes were entered in total, and the winners of Star Baker and Tastiest Treat received some baking utensils! We were also pleased to host Allen and Len from the Charity, not forgetting EJ and Rookie, who drew a lot of attention to the event. So much so, that they will be visiting us again later in the year!
