I worked at Asco Power Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Original Company a great place to work and loyal to employees. Two major sales of company by parent Corporations. Most recent is probably for the best. Probably a good place for young to start at,

    Cons

Too many new employees in upper management positions. Clearly an effort by SE to make over company. Not sure they really understand the market ASCO is in . Changes are disrupting a company that has been very successful over the last 125 years.

    Advice to Management

One size does not fit all. Yammer is disruptive and many prefer to ignore.
Employees have become insecure and many feel they are just a number.
    Recent restructure is primary reason

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Asco Power Technologies (Florham Park, NJ (US)) in June 2017.

    Interview

Two over the phone interviews. One asking questions and asking about me. The other describing daily duties, whats expected and the general structure of the department. After the two calls they said to come in the next week and start working. They had me shadow others and learn a bit on my own before starting me for real.
