I worked at ArcelorMittal USA full-time (More than 3 years)
Lots of money to be made. Paid overtime, good benefits
Lots of overtime expected. Poor work/life balance
Advice to Management
Listen to the needs and wants of the employees
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ArcelorMittal USA.
Was flow out to their main site in Burns Harbor, IN for an interview. They take you around the steel mill, was an impressive site. Then they showed us a powerpoint on the benefits and etc. The interview process was very straight forward. You interview with 2-3 people, with about 4-6 behavior questions with each. Overall was a pleasant experience.
We are committed to helping our employees advance in their careers. One way we do this is through a dedicated week devoted to life-long learning. For Learning Week 2017, employees share the ways they "Connect. Engage. Inspire."
We're all about innovative and creative solutions! A pilot project that kicked off this spring is using a plant - moss - to replace chemicals traditionally used in the hot strip mill water treatment process.
