I worked at Anatolia tile & stone full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Beautiful Modern office space, the company owners have come along way and they are more social. Better HR department. Lots of improvements. Seeing how invested the owners are to Anatolia makes you want to do the same.

    Cons

It's like the big brother house- every move is watched. Very hard to grow within the company.

    Advice to Management

To listen to your employees, everyone loves working there but the truth is you also want to feel wanted. Provide cross training, don't limit an employee when they want to obtain more knowledge and help make the company succeed. :)

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Anatolia tile & stone.

    Interview

Standard interview process, the one cautionary warning is their written test. There were portions of the test that seemed very unrelated to the position. What does a item product size, weight, shipping costs with conversion calculations (plus, showing your entire problem solving work) have to do with a marketing position. It was definitely a stressful portion of the interview process and did not make sense to why this was included. There was a section to write a press release, sure that is justifiable for a marketing responsibility; but a thorough product merchandising calculation seems highly irrelevant. Even after trying my best to answer the problem solving question, the hiring manager did not provide any feedback, nor did they respond to any of my after-interview inquiry emails.
