Action Media – Why Work For Us?

THE ADSURGE DIFFERENCE

A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS.

The world of internet marketing is noisier than ever – filled with Publishers and Advertisers looking to turn their hard-earned website traffic and visitors into dollars. On the other side of the equation, the marketplace is filled with advertisers trying to find buyers for their offers across a variety of verticals.

That’s where we come in.

We serve as the matchmakers between advertisers and publishers – and we’ve gotten pretty good at it

What sets us apart?

Our team brings over 10 years of industry experience to the table. Internet marketing is above all a relationship business and we have connections across the globe to ensure success in any market.

THE FLEXIBILITY OF A START-UP

Our agile approach to decision making allows us to focus on what works today, not what worked yesterday. We don’t get bogged down in the minutia of a project and aren't afraid to stop something if it isn't working.

BE PART OF A KILLER TEAM IN A DYNAMIY INDUSTRY

WORKING WITH US YOU'LL GET PERKS WITH PUNCH.

Here at AdSurge we believe that your job is something you should take pride in. Some would have you believe that 'hard work is it's own reward'. We tend to disagree. We believe that hard work should be rewarded. Below you will find an assortment of perks and benefits we offer to all of our employees.

  • Work with your team to set quarterly targets to control your own growth.
  • Catered breakfast every morning. Make your wallet happy and your stomach full.
  • Start your weekend early. 'Freedom Fridays' means you get to spend more time doing what you love.
  • Our office is located in the heart of downtown Montreal. Time to dust off your French-English dictionary.
  • Dress code? What dress code? Ditch the suit. But only if you want to.
  • Ditch the car. Take the metro. We'll help you pay for your metro pass each month.

GREAT NEWS. WE'RE HIRING.

Are you ready to join one of Montreal's most dynamic and diverse companies? We are always on the lookout for talented, passionate people. Below you can find our current postings. We look forward to hearing from you!

OUR CORE VALUE

Treat people like gold.

Whether it’s a new advertising partner, a candidate at an interview or a three-year employee – we believe in treating people the way they deserve to be treated: like gold.

This allows us to deliver a phenomenal customer service experience, top industry performance and a warm and engaging office environment.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Action Media (Montreal, QC) in October-2016.

    Interview

I was interviewed by a media buyer as well as a community manager.
After a phone interview with HR I was asked to come in to meet 2 members of the team. I was asked to respond to 3 questions prior to the interview so that the interviewers could review my responses beforehand.
The 1st interviewer seemed unprepared for the interview and did not ask relevant questions. We did not discuss the answers I had submitted prior to the interview. What he did ask was whether I had children and where might be a good place to hold his child's upcoming birthday party.

The community manger was more professional and actually took the time to read my responses. He asked relevant questions.

I needed to follow up with HR twice over a period of 2 weeks before getting any response. The HR rep apologized for not contacting me sooner but she was in a meeting when I called. Offices seemed cramped and uninspiring. They promote half day Fridays but during the interview I was told that Friday afternoon is a good time to catch up on work you didn't get to during the week.

    Interview Questions

    • Very standard interview questions but here are the standouts:

      You have kids, right?

Do you know any places where I can hold my daughter's birthday party?
