Advice to Management

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at A Thinking Ape (Vancouver, BC).
Phone interview from HR about basic personality. Followed up by an hour technical in person interview and finally two more technical interviews with a lunch interview in between.
We are SO excited to announce that ATA has been named a 2018 Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures winner in the Growth category by Waterstone Human Capital! This national program annually recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and help sustain a competitive advantage. We are one of only ten winners in our category, and forty-two companies Canada-wide. No small potatoes!
How exactly is our culture deemed admirable? Organization’s submissions are scored on six categories:
- vision and leadership
- recruitment and hiring for fit (though we made a point that we hire for add)
- cultural alignment and measurement
- retention, rewards and recognition
- organizational performance
- corporate social responsibility
The Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures program creates a benchmark of success for all those who are nominated.
We are extremely proud of our team and the culture they foster here at ATA. A huge congratulations to the other winners.
Gather round, it's time for a lesson. Well, five of them, actually.
In this piece from the team at Flow, Kenshi Arasaki, ATA CEO, shares our penchant for the road less travelled in mobile games. For the past ten years we've defied conventionalism to become, as Flow writes, "the most successful games company you’ve never heard of."
Learn Kenshi's keys to launching a successful mobile game, but full disclosure, we're still refining that ourselves: “I think we've probably made every mistake in the book when it comes to launching games. Every time we launch one, we learn a lot.”
