    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Weatherford (Jane Lew, WV (US)) in March 2011.

    Interview

Oilfield interviews are usually rather informal. I was working on location with other Weatherford personnel. I asked if they are hiring and he said yes and he gave me his coordinator's number. I called and answered a dozen questions, mostly relating to my oilfield experience. I didn't hear anything for a few months, then randomly the coordinator contacted me and asked if they (Weatherford) had offer me a job, I said no as if he thought he offered me a job already. Then we arranged for a more formal interview.
