I have been working at TOPdesk (More than 3 years)
Pros
Small things make you feel at home wherever office you're at (same furniture, WiFi just automagically works) all colleagues are always willing to help and real fun to work, talk, drink or party with.
- A lot of learning possibilities
- You can build your own career path, as long as it aligns (to some extent) with the overall company view.
- Awesome culture, colleagues, fringe benefits
Cons
Personally I started at TOPdesk right after school so I cann't compare whether the grass actually isn't greener on the other side.
If you're in it for the money this isn't your place. Salaries are in my opinion slightly above average but don't grow along with your experience.
Advice to Management
Keep experimenting, but don't feel afraid to kill your (or someone else his) darlings when it doesn't work.
Our culture/values/... are our most important asset, don't make concessions on them.
Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at TOPdesk (Antwerp (Belgium)) in November 2012.
Interview
All procedures are the same: CV and motivation screening followed by 2 interviews. Clear feedback is provided after every step.
It's 2 TOPdesk people and you in the room, both interviews feels like a conversation and not an interrogation. The second one is more function oriented.
