SunTrust Durham, NC (US) isn't hiring right now. Check out all SunTrust jobs
I worked at SunTrust part-time (More than a year)
Suntrust encourages a lot of interaction with clients. This could be a pro or a con. Tellers aren't just quietly completing transactions, they're expected to be chatty and friendly. This makes for a more interesting day and it can be nice building relationships.
There's a good workplace culture and great benefits, even for part-time employees. Suntrust offers a lot towards improving their employees' personal lives, like a steep discount on fitbits, personal finance lessons and incentives, etc.
Sales goals. You'll be expected to snoop into the client's transaction history and personal life to know what products to recommend, which is one reason for the chatting. You're hoping they'll reveal a financial need so you can sell them a product.
Advice to Management
Not your choice, I know higher-ups have steep expectations for you too, but sales goals suck.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at SunTrust (Durham, NC (US)) in December 2011.
Asked you where did you see yourself in 5 years. Asked if we could talk
To your family and friends about 5 different positive and 5 negative whAt would they say. If hired where do you see yourself in 6 months. If you could change one thing from your last job what would it be? If you could take a positive from the last job and bring it over to this job, what would that be?
