I have been working at StoryPoint full-time (More than 5 years)
I have worked for a good number of places, but I can honestly say StoryPoint takes the cake insofar as treating people’s dreams with respect and sincerity. To be gifted the opportunity of going on Honor Flight was amazing. To be able to see our residents faces and reactions when they stood amongst the monuments built to honor their sacrifices to this Nation is something I will NEVER forget! The one thing that will stick closest to me is when my Veteran hugged me, said thank you then said she loves me. You have no clue what that feels like when it’s coming from a resident who is somewhat withdrawn. One of the Veterans noticed my nervousness while flying (I abhor heights!!) The only reply I could give him was from a Star Trek movie; The sacrifice of the one for the benefit of the many. I know it may sound corny, but that’s the most honest answer I could give. While I hate flying and putting this trip together took several months, I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!
StoryPoint is an amazing place to work with opportunities to connect with very dedicated employees and loving residents. I love everything about my time with the residents and appreciate all that my StoryPoint family has done for me.
Not enough time with all the resident Veterans. If I could be in two places at one time, I would be with them!
