I worked at PA Consulting Group as an intern (Less than a year)
Really enjoyed my time here; I got to work with a wide range of people from all disciplines, and hear about current projects in all sorts of areas. The project I was assigned was interesting with lots of different angles to work on, so that I always had something interesting to switch to. I was on a joint project with another intern, which brought together two different areas of the business - so I was constantly learning new things.
The other interns were great to work with, as well as the analysts and consultants. The focus on presentation and the underlying business model as much as the technical aspects was good, and has really made me look at consulting as a possible career, when previously I'd ignored it.
The site isn't city central - finding short-term accommodation for an internship can be tricky. However, I can see this would be great for a full-time job, so take your pick.
Advice to Management
Help interns get in contact well before the start date - it would've been great to flatshare or something similar with other interns during the internship.
I applied online. I interviewed at PA Consulting Group (Cambridge, East of England, England (UK)) in January-2018.
two interviews, one technical and the other competency based then a group presentation. The process is heavily technical. I was asked to draw a wireless sensor circuit on the board. The group exercise was redesigning an existing wireless sensor.
