    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA (US)) in May 2021.

    Interview

Applied online. Recruiter email contact. Screening interview with HM. Lots of emails for logistics. Scheduled into v-interviews couple of weeks later. v-interviews make them too casual about scheduling, they book you with a large gaps between interviewers tying up your entire day. Normal pm questions, but definitely felt the bias against my gender and age throughout. Made me uncomfortable and realized I wasn't going to get the role even though I was highly qualified for it. This was the usual popularity type interview process. So it felt more like giving them free consulting. Very disappointed with the interviewers attitudes and sad that the usual hidden biases are still being allowed/condoned.
