I have been working at MNP LLP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People are great, professional and very helpful. You don't mind working a few extra hours when necessary because those hours are banked.

    Cons

    Quite top heavy.
Missing preparers which makes our schedules very full making taking time off a bit hard. Not a big issue though!

    Junior Accountant Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at MNP LLP (Montreal, QC).

    Interview

Not really relevant anymore as was long prior to merger. But overall experience was positive, discussed goals and prior experience, education. One on one discussion with the HR Manager and then one of the partners. I believe the recruitment process for juniors has been formalized since then, although seems to still be a pleasant process.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

Opening salaries for juniors are fairly industry standard. Negotiation is more likely once the employee has proven themself to a certain degree.
