    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange (London, England (UK)) in April 2019.

This process was really frustrating overall and sent up a lot of red flags.

I started by hearing from Talent and being sent an assignment, which I completed and sent back.

An initial interview was scheduled for a Friday about 3 weeks later (it was over Xmas so that was fine). I was on time for this interview but when I tried to join the Zoom meeting it wouldn't let me. I reached out to this Talent person and didn't get a response until about an hour later. She said she wrote down the wrong time but was free not to talk. The talk went well and she said she'd be in touch.

The next week I had someone else reach out to me with the other Talent person CC'd. They said they'd like to set me up to speak with 2 CE Supervisors. This was scheduled for the following week. Again, me on time for this meeting tried to join Zoom and could not. I reached out to the 2 Talent people who had scheduled this interview as I didn't have the 2 CE Supervisors details. Shortly after sending this email it bounced back. I was confused and didn't know how else to get in contact so I started to panic slightly. I reached out to someone else at the company and they told me the 2 Talent people I'd been speaking to had been fired! No one had gotten in touch with me to reschedule and the 2 CE Supervisors never got in touch with me or joined the Zoom meeting. A short while later I got an email from a 3rd Talent person apologizing and saying there was a Zoom issue and that he wanted to reschedule me. I gave him some dates/times I was free and the next Monday I heard back from a 4th Talent person who booked me in to speak with 2 different CE Supervisors.

I had the interview with the 2 CE Supervisors, no issues with zoom this time, and it went okay. i was quite nervous and anxious since the process had been so difficult prior. I heard back at the end of the week saying that I was "a 'high potential' candidate that may be a good fit for us, should the current soft crypto market see a change". I wasn't too upset by this as I'd seen a lot of red flags throughout the process and the pay was not competitive for such a niche industry and for someone with my crypto background.

The process was really stressful for me and took about 7 weeks with all the cancelling and rescheduling of interviews.
