I have been working at Klick full-time (Less than a year)
Just came from our team offsite and never felt better about this job. I love it here -love the momentum and pace. The quality of work is wicked - we've got demanding clients but the creative has been ridiculous lately and it makes the volume of work manageable. My previous agency work was crap and I was constantly apologizing to my clients and having to bring in execs to apologize. I thought the leadership team was cliquey when I first started but it turns out they just like each other. Politics are are at a minimum.
I'm remote so I sometimes miss out on bagels in the kitchen and pizza days and stuff like that. The New York office is great and based on some new clients I think that will have to grow to accommodate. But that will take a few months and so until then I'm a little lonely. I can always take the train into the city or go to Toronto when I need to feel the love but I am excited to have a bigger crew in new york.
Advice to Management
Winning a Cannes Lion last year made a big difference. When we opened up an office in New York a lot of my old colleagues took notice and started asking questions. Build that team faster and more big awards so we can hire top talent here.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Klick (New York, NY (US)).
It was brief and took about a week from scheduling and then getting a response form the company. It was a good system of meeting in person and contacting via phone.
