    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flight Centre Travel Group (Townsville (Australia)) in March 2016.

    Interview

The interview process was lengthy, although in an industry with high staff turnover its only understandable that they're picky with who they proceed through the stages. I went through three phone interviews and psychoanalytical testing before my first in person interview with the Area Manager. The first interview was a brief informal 'meet and greet', the second explored more of my working past and why I wanted the job etc and the final phone interview was scenario based questions. The in person interview with the Area Manager was really lovely, I gained a lot of information about the areas teams and goals. I was also given an hour or so to do a geographical test as well as a hypothetical family booking, which I found really enjoyable! I was told not too worry if I couldn't answer everything with the geography test, as that will get taught in training. The family booking had some tricky wording, but I found it was a great insight to all the possible future scenarios!
