    Travel Consultant Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flight Centre Travel Group (Johannesburg (South Africa)) in December 2015.

    Interview

After submitting an online application including a CV, I was contacted for a brief telephone interview. This was relaxed and comfortable and only took 10 minutes or so. I then had to complete a series of online aptitude/personality tests. This was a little intimidating, especially the Maths section, but overall, it was quite interesting! I was then invited to an interview at the Head Office. We had to 'sell' a holiday package to the panel- not rocket science. We were asked questions about ourselves, our travel experience and what we wanted/expected out of a Travel Consultant Position, as well as our life and career goals. I was then asked to come back for a more in depth interview, where they asked questions based on the outcomes of the aforementioned online tests. It was a great experience overall, and I felt I could be myself throughout the process.
