Employees rate Waltham 2.8% higher than the overall average
I worked at AstraZeneca as an intern (Less than a year)
Good teams mean your days flow nicely, nice cafeteria, great campus
Big pharma always has a lot of bureaucracy, way too many meetings, hard to being experiments quickly
Advice to Management
Try to improve cross-departmental collaboration/communication and allow for more rotational work through the different groups.
I applied online. I interviewed at AstraZeneca (Waltham, MA (US)).
Brief phone interview with hiring manager followed by a half-day onsite interview where I met with around 10 different employees ranging from hiring managers to Scientists and had lunch. I was asked to give a detailed description of my current thesis work and a variety of typical interview questions, everyone was extremely friendly which made the process less nerve-racking. Would definitely recommend interview prep before hand as it is a long day.
