    Department Overview

    The Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery.
    The Global Product Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Hardware, Software and Supply Chain Services required for Motorola to design, build and distribute Video, Radio and Accessory products. The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations, revenue and savings within the business.


    Job Description

    We are seeking an enthusiastic Strategic Sourcing Manager, Acquisition Alignment who is a problem-solver, eager to rise to the challenges of a continuously evolving technological industry, and wants to make an impact on the safety of people and businesses globally.

    Reporting to the Director of Global Procurement, your focus will be on direct and indirect procurement alignment of newly acquired companies to Motorola and acceleration of leverage. This includes engagement across cross-functional stakeholders, alignment of supply strategy, cost optimization and integration. Your role will be instrumental in delivering best-in-class solutions, including enablement, consolidation, auditing and strategic initiatives that meet the Procurement priorities and support the successful and accelerated integration of acquisitions into Motorola's portfolio.

    An ideal candidate will be a high-energy individual with a demonstrated ability to successfully navigate through ambiguities and challenges using facts, data, and a strong curiosity of AI technology. They will possess open-mindedness and effective communication skills to explore AI-based efficiencies and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively engage with newly acquired Video companies and drive Direct and Indirect Procurement alignment with product roadmaps and comprehensive sourcing strategies

    • Identify, drive and accelerate cost efficiency and integration targets for acquisitions

    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, EMS partners, and Supply Chain Management to optimize the supply base of newly acquired companies

    • Conduct supplier analysis for newly acquired entities, and manage the overall supplier qualification process to ensure a strong and diversified supplier base

    • Develop and create solutions for competitive bidding and RFx initiatives to optimize new acquisition cost structures and leverage Motorola’s purchasing power

    • Support the newly acquired Video companies’ adoption of Motorola standard procurement/purchasing systems, including iProcurement

    • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and explore creative supplier solutions to enhance value and innovation

    • Contribute to Event Driven Cost Reduction initiatives within the acquired companies, including multi-sourcing, alternate materials, and other cost reduction initiatives

    • Drive working capital and inventory optimization initiatives for new acquisitions

    • Manage supply contract alignment and agreement assignments to Motorola

    • Continually benchmark the industry to monitor AI technology trends and ensure best practices in AI adoption are incorporated into Motorola's Procurement strategy for acquired companies

    • Work on projects and assignments as required, following approved guidelines and methodologies.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

    • Experience in creation, negotiation, and administration of contracts is preferred.

    • Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, cost models, contracts, and supply base management preferred.

    • Strong communications and interpersonal skills while able to work with multiple internal stakeholders to drive positive business results preferred.

    This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days onsite per week!

    Compensation ranging from $100k-$120k CAD


    Basic Requirements

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Management, or Supply Chain Management

    • 5-7 years of Supply Chain experience with proven abilities in: Sourcing, Negotiation, Contracts, Project Management required.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently assess, define and solve complex Supply Chain and Procurement issues required.
