    Our Account Manager – Fire Protection Systems and Services will play a valuable role in the successful growth of our partnership by seeking out new business prospects throughout the Maritimes and identifying opportunities where we can deliver the collective fire protection solutions of both operations. Some additional expectations of this role include:

    • Establish strong relationships with existing clients and contractors to support their ongoing fire protection needs.
    • Seek out new business opportunities across all fire protection offerings (Fire Alarm, Suppression, Portable Fire Extinguisher Systems) by establishing contact with prospects, scheduling sales calls, and following up on leads.
    • Provide/source value-added solutions and services from vendors and partners to support key account and new client fire protection requirements.
    • Prepare proposals, presentations, and financial analysis to support sales activities and enable successful closure of sales.
    • Renew inspection contracts and set-up service agreements.
    • Prepare work estimates, deficiency quotes and follow-up on the same.
    • Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. to generate, develop, and qualify leads for prospective customers.
    • Maintain customer and vendor relationships and identify opportunities to develop and grow new business partnerships.
    • Work closely with the Technical Services Team to ensure we are meeting customer expectations.
    • Monitor market, competitor, and customer trends.
    • Consult on external pricing strategies and maintaining internal pricing policies.
    • Develop territory plans to meet established gross margin targets and grow the fire protection business in the Maritimes.
    • Participate in trade shows, product demonstrations and other events to promote awareness of our products and services, increase sales, and enhance the company’s image.
    • Support other team members including administrative, operational, and field staff, in the safe, efficient delivery of superior service to our clients.

    Our preferred experience and training credentials for this role are noted below, however all combinations of education and experience will be considered

    • 3-5 years experience in a technical account management or outside sales role.
    • Experience in fire systems and/or technical services sales or related sales (or business development) of technical and/or service-based solutions would be considered an asset.
    • Post secondary diploma in Fire Protection or related field of study or experience/training in the Fire Protection Industry would be considered an asset.
    • Knowledge of NFPA, ULC and other local, national, and international codes and standards would be considered an asset.
    • Valid drivers license.
