I work in the area of population health and epidemiology, so I discussed how there was perhaps an over-abundance of population-level observational studies, and that there would be alot of value in design a natural experiment that would allow for more powerful causal inferences.
Pretty standard interview questions throughout. I was surprised by the insistence that I disclose to what other institutions I was applying. A fun question was "if I was a superhero, what special ability would I have and why?
I understand that this project is a lot different than what I used to to, and to be honest, I do think my past research is a lot harder and deeper than this. However, I can see my interests in it. I am not only focused on what I can do and offer to this project, but also targeting to learn new things and work with different people on different project would be an good opportunity to learn how to think differently from other people.
