      Cabin Crew Interview

      Mar 10, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Gatwick, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at easyJet (Gatwick, England) in Dec 2018

      Interview

My assessment day was on Dec 2018 at Gatwick airport. You go in the assessment centre and check in (write in your name and time of arrival). Then you go into the canteen were some people are queuing up for some tea or coffee and some people are sitting by the tables as we wait for the assessors to arrive. Use this time to interact with people instead of sitting by yourself with your phone. Remember you are all in the same boat, and people will appreciate you talking to them. When the assessors arrive, you will queue up to give them a photocopy of your passport and proof of NIN. You then get examined at another room where you take your shoes off and they take your mesurements. You are then asked to sit on a jumpseat and put on the safety belt and take it off. Don't worry about this process as they just want to see that you can sit comfortably in a good position. I struggled a bit to take the seatbelt off but that was fine, they teach you. After this, you are all sent into another room were the assessors introduce themselves and talk a bit about how the interview will go. So you then do 3 different group activities were you must participate and let others talk as well. Show enthusiasm, be polite and interact. Show time keeping skills and organisational skills (keep track of time left and write your answers down neatly as they will collect these papers after). Assessors will take notes throughout the activities. After the first activity, people will get swaped around tables, this is to balance out the most talkative groups with the quieter. You then get a 45min break and then you all go back into the room were people will get called to leave the room (this is when you know you are going to get to the 1to1 interview or get sent home). The people who have passed then get told a summary of what the contract would be like, salary, time off etc. The 1to1 interview was the part I found the hardest, even though my interviewer was very friendly and really tried to get me describing in more details my answers. You need to prepare your customer service examples e.g. time keeping, excellent service, complaint handling, etc. I was put into a room were I could hear another person being interviewed at the same time as me and that really threw me off, but you have to stand your ground and focus on your answers. I got told I was successful in 2 days by email.
