There was a tricky question on logical reasoning, which, if not encountered before, can be loopy. It goes like this: 3 men go to a hotel and pay the hotel manager a total of Rs. 30. (10 each) Later the manager realizes that the rent is Rs 25 and sends back Rs 5 via the bellboy. He then gives 1 each to the three men, which makes their net contribution Rs 9 each. The bellboy keeps the remaining Rs 2. So that makes it a total of Rs (3*9 + 2)= Rs 29. Where has the remaining Re 1 gone?

the initial contribution to the manager is 3*8.333 and nt 3*9. so amount paid is 25+2(with bellboy) which gives 27. its the remaining 3 that goes to the guys. there is absolutely no loss anywhere, its just for tricking purpose. Less

So the guys gave 25 (to manager) and 2(to bellboy). This sums up to 27, each contributed Rs 9. In other words, manager kept 25, which he had to keep, bellboy kept 2, so 1 rs must have gone to them. Less

Don't give the conventional answers you find on the internet. Try to tell your real reason. I told about my interests and achievements in Mathematics and Data analytics from childhood as the main reason to join. Interviewer was happy and asked me some mathematical puzzles and guesstimates to verify my interest. Happy to answer those questions and get selected. Less
