Graduate Leadership Program at Bell Canada was asked...
Why bell? Any obstacle in your career? Strength? 191 AnswersMy application status did the same thing. Went from in progress to Technology operations. Not sure what that’s all about. I initially thought that "Technology Operations" is some department at Bell Canada and expected to get a contact from them for in-person interview. idk man.. I will update here once I hear anything I’ll do the same too should I hear anything. Show more responses Yes, I had the same title too! Please update this thread. I'll update here too if I hear of anything... I searched everywhere and found this review so yeah. Here's hoping something good comes out of it. My status change from in progress to Marketing Mine changed from in process to Business Operations back in Sept, but haven’t heard back from them since then. Fingers crossed! I am an original writer who posted this. Thank you so much guys for sharing your situations ! Here are some updates and my thoughts: - In early September, I applied to 4 positions in total and it was that the status change "In Progress -> Technology Operations" was made to only one application while other 3 applications still remained as "In Progress" status - The record shows that ALL 4 applications have been accessed/viewed/evaluated by them on Oct 10 again. You can find this date below your status - I believe that the status change to such "Technology Operations", "Marketing", or "Business Operations" indicates that those applications are in a "POOL" of their interest until they find the right candidate...................................................................idk man this is fking stupid this miserable hope is even worse than being rejected FKKKKKKKKKKKK qwoprjdefv;dlfsejhruvd;nlksfjhr;kesjf At poster Mine is just exactly as yours. Applied to three positions but only one changed to technology operations way back first week of September. And all the application was viewed again on October 9th (based on the date under the application). I sent them an email and they said, they are still reviewing candidates and that interviews should start in a few weeks (that was last week). I guess we just have to wait. how long after your interview did you get a change in status? i did mine on saturday and still nothing. do they let you know if you arent chosen ? how long after your interview did you get a change in status? i did mine on saturday and still nothing. do they let you know if you arent chosen ? how long after your interview did you get a change in status? i did mine on saturday and still nothing. do they let you know if you arent chosen ? how long after your interview did you get a change in status? i did mine on saturday and still nothing. do they let you know if you arent chosen ? My status change happened a month ago and still no change Show more responses Have you guys done final round interview? and waiting for response or still waiting for further process interview? Waiting for further process interview Did my video interview a few days after application (email went straight to spam for me). Still waiting to hear back in in-person. My status still says "In-Progress" and seeing everyone else's status change is stressing me out Is there anyone having finished final round interview? Anyone here applied to Rogers grad program? Among my 4 applications, only one had a status change: 'In Progress' -> 'Technology Operations' while other 3 still remained as 'In Progress' As of today, one of the 3 applications (In Progress) had an update saying 'Application Closed'... disappointing, but it means that they are now finding candidates to fill in positions. Let's hear your updates now ! ? Current application status: Specialist Leadership Development ment: Application Closed Last Modified10/21/2020 2021 Field Services Operations Leadership Graduate Leadership Program: statusTechnology Operations. Last Modified10/09/2020 2021 Human Resources Graduate Leadership Program; In progress. Yeah I got one where it closed. One 's status is Technology Operations and the other status is in progress. All three of mine are in progress. Little bit worried! Mines still In Progress as of Oct 10, 2020. Little worried, but it's not closed so that's a good sign Show more responses My status updated several times. Oct 09 from In progress to Marketing Oct 12 and Oct 19 updated again, still waiting... Specialist Leadership Development: just got rejected, oh well. Update on my end! My technology operations status has changed to In Progress as of Oct 23rd... Highkey nervous... Sorry to hear your Specialist Leadership Development application closure My Technology Operations status was never updated since Oct 10 I guess everyone is stuck in the same stage. Maybe Bell hasn’t figured out what to do next lol. Honestly this wait has been nothing but anxiety inducing... especially when things right now are already uncertain due to the pandemic... Fingers crossed that we get the answer we want :) I had a final round interview on October 14th for one of the positions that I applied to (Network GLP). Still haven't heard back from them about that position. All of mine are still in progress except Customer Operators (Got rejected from that on October 22nd). Curious to know if anyone else has heard back yet. Had my network grad (software) interview on Oct 2. Portal still shows “in progress”. I emailed the network grad team last week for update. They replied saying that they are still assessing candidates and will let update in following 2 weeks I got an email from them early last week that they will get in touch with me soon and that they are still assessing candidates. I wonder how many people they are interviewing that it’s taking over a month to access them all Show more responses *assess Yeah also curious about that. I was interviewing for the data science position in Network GLP and I had a group interview with 4 other people in the final round. Curious to see how many people will be assessed before final decisions are made. I know for the data science position they are looking for people in Mississauga, Toronto, and Montreal. Although I'm not sure if there were also other candidates who got invited to the final round for that position. Has anyone applied Bell Media GLP and done final round interview? Well I think the group interviews were final rounds Network GLP I had the video interview thing, then had to apply for the 3 positions, then had the 1 group interview (+4 others) I’m not sure if there’s going to be more interviews Hopefully they reply in the next few days I will update here what happens I didn't apply to Bell Media GLP. Although I think I remember from the networking session that the media group wasn't taking in a lot of people if I remember correctly. Yeah I think the group interviews were the final rounds, but what I mean is that there are probably more than just one set of group interview for a single position. For example if you look at the different positions available within Network GLPI think there are 9 distinct positions available in Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. I think for the Network GLP they are hiring something like 80+ new grads. If they are having group interview with around 5 people then for some of positions they'd need multiple group interviews to find enough people to hire. My guess would be they are having multiple group interviews for positions like software development, security, and construction project management since they are hiring people for a bunch of different cities. Yes same thoughts here Good luck to all Anyone applied to HR and had a final round interview? Show more responses Yeah so my status updated to in progress again (Oct 28th) for the BI position and the two others last got updated on the 24th... Idk what's going on anymore the dates keep changing but I haven't got a final round interview yet so... Mine hasn't been updated since October 10th other than the position I got rejected for. Applied 2021 Network Internship Program for both ON and ATL 10.22 Send Application 10.26 Receive Video Interview 10.27 Questionaire Completed -> In Progress 10.29 ON: Accounting & Finance, ATL: In Progress Still waiting for further notice Cong. to you guys who already had final rounds. I wish you get a great news soon. Thanks to you all for sharing your current status and other valuable info. Mines are all dead since Oct. 10th except for one closure on Oct 22nd: two are "In Progress" on Oct 10, one "Tech. Operations" on Oct 10, and one "Closed" on Oct 22nd Have you guys received any updates? My applications changed to Accounting and Finance for two of my preferences that they asked via email. I am confused what that would mean and how long would it take for further steps or will it be stuck on this state forever? No updates at the moment unfortunately. Although it does seem like Bell has started giving out offers looking at the recent glassdoor interviews. Not sure how accurate this is, but here is a comment someone made in this thread about changing from in-progress to the actual program. "I believe that the status change to such "Technology Operations", "Marketing", or "Business Operations" indicates that those applications are in a "POOL" of their interest until they find the right candidate" I think having your application be in progress is a good thing. I remember for Customer Operation GLP mine changed from in progress to the name of the program pretty early and I ended up being rejected for that position. Honestly, I just want to get an interview and have this whole process over with. Did any of you guys attend speed interviews? I did that as well but have yet to get a response from that. It'd be great if I get an interview and get hired especially during times like this where everything is so uncertain. I can definitely relate to how you are feeling. I honestly feel like the hiring process depends a lot on luck. I'm certain there are going to be a lot of qualified people who end up getting turned down without even having a chance at an interview. It really sucks that its this hard to find a job during these times. I've seen a lot of entry level jobs that want people with prior experience, but its hard to get experience if no one is willing to take a chance on us. Update, Network GLP (Software Specialist) I haven't heard back yet, but I msged someone I who I had the group interview with. They got calls to talk to the hiring managers last week. I assume I didn't get it then. Oof I haven't even gotten a group interview yet... Should I be worried? I mean my statuses keep changing as "in progress"... Show more responses I didn't apply for the Software Specialist, but I haven't had any contact with a hiring manager so far either. Probably also means that I didn't land the position. I would assume that they would do a group interview before hiring someone, but take this with a grain of salt since I don't know how the hiring process is like at Bell. Has anyone gotten any updates? Mine is still in progress and after following up they just said they are still assessing candidates. I applied for 3 - all 3 are still in progress. 2 were updated on October 10th, and the last was updated on October 23rd. no updates since then. I applied for 3 - all 3 are still in progress. 2 were updated on October 10th, and the last was updated on October 23rd. no updates since then. Still In Progress for me as of Oct.10. Any updates for anyone else? Still In Progress for me as of Oct.10. Any updates for anyone else? Yeah still in progress at the moment. Haven't gotten any updates from them. It would be nice if there was some kind of timeline has to when we can expect to hear back by. No updates yet All 3 applications say Oct 10 I wish if they have already sent out offers then they would reject us already. Just don't see what the point is in waiting so long to inform candidates about if they got rejected. Show more responses I wish if they have already sent out offers then they would reject us already. Just don't see what the point is in waiting so long to inform candidates about if they got rejected. No updates either. Still in progress. Next week I’ll send them an email they won’t appreciate lol. I’m about tired of been in limbo. Since the program will start on June next year, they have plenty of time to assess candidates. Just be patient! Believe we all would get our results I'm just fed up with getting ghosted by companies. I had my group interview in mid-October. Apparently they haven't even looked at my application since October 10th and when I follow up I get a generic email saying that they are still assessing candidates. Apparently people have been getting calls to talk to hiring managers. If the position has been filled just treat the applicants like humans and let them know that they got rejected instead of keeping them waiting. I received a case study and behavioural interview for the program on Oct 19th. I emailed them recently and they said they were still reviewing applications and doing more interviews. Hopefully they will update everyone soon. Thanks for the update. I'm hoping we do find out the status of our applications pretty soon. I'm fine with getting rejected, but not knowing makes me feel worse. I had my first panel interview with the first group in late September. Was told that I will get an update soon, but no news after that. Received a second panel interview with a different group (that I'm sure I didn't apply for) last week, and one of my application status changed to "Accounting & Finance" on that day. Yesterday I got a rejection email from the second group, but my application status didn't change either. I am assuming that our resumes will be rotated across a lot of different groups, and maybe the application status is not even reflecting the position that we have been interviewed for. Overall, the entire process left me with the impression that the program is very messy, confusing and lack organization. Sometimes even the hiring managers have no idea what will be the next step. Fingers cross for everyone that we will all land on a suitable position. Good luck! Man that is rough. It does seem like the hiring process isn't very efficient or organized. I hope you guys get good news soon. Best of luck with the jobs search! Following the last post, I want to add that in the rejection email yesterday, I was informed that my resume will be forwarded and referred to a more "hardware focused" group. And today I received another email from a NEW group who's interested in my resume, and there's no update in my application status either. For folks with no update on the status, maybe your resume is still being rotated, or the HR department is just too lazy to make an update xD. Anyways, keep up the good work, and we'll find out what's next. Has anyone here applied to or heard back from the Rogers New Grad Program? I applied in September and my applications still say "Under Review". Show more responses I got rejected from the rogers new grad technology program about 3 weeks ago. Got an email saying that the hiring manager decided to go with other candidates. Thanks for the updates. I'll definitely keep you guys updated if I hear anything from Bell. I applied to Rogers too (HR grad), has a prescreen early October, then an interview with three hiring managers last week Friday and have a final interview next week Tuesday with two VPs. My advice, find out which recruiter is in charge of the program you applied to and reach out to them. My two applications status are showing Technology operations and Accounting and financial . Others are showing in progress. I applied on September 3rd week I applied to the Rogers programs and I'm still under review for all of them... Same with Bell I'm still "in progress" even tho I've yet to get the final interview and all that stuff... Hate being led on. I wish the hiring process was more efficient so we can just move on with our life. A friend of mine got a job offer within 3 weeks of applying to a start up. I get that there are a lot more people applying but its literally been 2.5 months since I initially applied and I'm still not any closer to knowing if I got a position or not. @OG Anon By the way have you tried following up with the HR people for the program that you've applied for? Any updates? Do anyone got any interview call?...... Mine 2 application are showing Technology operations and Accounting and finance. Others are showing In Progress. I applied in last week of September. My application for a software developer was last viewed on Nov 3rd. Today it is viewed again. But still, the status showing In progress. No update on my end. Mine got viewed on October 10th and not after that. Had my group interview after that date so I guess they haven't bothered looking at my application after the group interview. Show more responses @Corona how do I do that? And how do I find that info?? I didn't get any hr contact. One of my three applications got closed today - the other two are still in progress! @Anonymous Damn I wish I got some update from HR lool. Its good that your application is getting looked at. Its gotta be a good sign that your application is getting looked at repeatedly. Yeah mine keeps getting looked at but no interview or anything smh. Any update on Rogers? My applications are still under review since September 25. I got rejected from rogers a few weeks ago. A friend of mine applied there awhile back and had a call with HR. Hasn't heard back since then even though they told him that he'd heard back about if he moved on by the end of the week. By the way, the people who got interview what is their qualifications and experiences. Mine is B.Tech + 2 year post graduation (computer science). 12 months of co-op experience. But my application is still in process. No interviews yet. I feel like getting an interview is also dependent on luck. Its seems like you have a good background for a new grad position. Also did you make sure you didn't get your bachelors prior to 2019 since you did a 2 years masters? I believe that was one of the requirements for Bell GLP. Sorry I meant prior to 2018. There is a requirement of when you got your bachelors by in order to be eligible for the graduate leadership program. Although interestingly enough one of the people I did the group interview with got their bachelors in 2016, but got the interview. Show more responses What?? That's a bit unfair I graduated this year and I didn't get any group interview opportunity yet. That's a bit frustrating to hear. @Corona. Thanks for your response. I completed a bachelor's in 2017. Actually, I did 2 years post-graduation diploma in 2020. Any people who got interviews especially for software developers. Can you please share your experience? Like in technical questions how deep they go? I also read that they give a case study. Do they give it 48 hours prior? Actually, I am preparing for the interview. It will help me. @OG Anon Yeah I agree that it doesn't seem fair that someone got a group interview for a new graduate position when they aren't a new graduate. @Anonymous I'm not too sure how strictly they are enforcing the date you got your bachelors degree since someone from my group interview had obtained their bachelors in 2016, but I can definitely see that being a reason why you aren't get a response. It might be a good idea to try apply for positions that recruit people with a masters degree and some experience. @Corona Yeah, I read about eligibility. As as you told one of the people who did a bachelor’s in 2016 got interviewed. Also after the video questionnaire, they shortlisted me and some others in spite of our bachelor graduation date before 2018. Maybe they checked the year of last degree graduation which I did in 2020. Or maybe other reasons are there. Let’s hope for the best. @Anonymous I didn't apply for the software developer position so I don't have any insight about how the interview is going to go. I hope it goes well for everyone that does have the interview. By the way when is the interview taking place if you don't mind me asking? Might give some insight as to how their current progress in the recruitment cycle. I feel like they are trying to get the hiring done for software developers done before filling up the other positions. @ Corona. I haven’t got any interview call yet. But as my profile was looked at a couple of times this week, I feel that maybe next week I will get my interview. And one more thing. It's a bit time-consuming to look again and again at this thread. Are you guys willing to make a WhatsApp group for sharing information with each other? Let me know if anyone interested. @Anonymous I'm actually fine with using this thread. I like the fact that I'm anonymous and I think its also useful for other applicants who won't be part of a whatsapp group to remain updated. I am not going to lie I'm getting rather frustrated since I graduated in June 2020 and during the worst time ever with Covid, yet I've yet to get an interview or next step (I've done the video interview but since then nothing and I've even did the speed interview at their event but nothing since then too and idk). How are these people who graduated so early getting final interviews?? Like I graduated from a co-op program so I have that experience and you'd think I'd have that edge but I guess not... Guess I'll have to just wait. Haha same here, graduated in April 2020 Have 1y exp from internship Only few interviews, can’t get past last round Show more responses Yeah I definitely agree with you. I don't know how I got the group interview to be honest it was properly just dumb luck. Considering its a new graduate position it doesn't seem right that we need to compete with people who've done their bachelors and masters years ago and have had time to work in the industry. If the date I graduated doesn't matter for a job position I might as well just start applying for internships after graduating. I remember applying to a company called Cenovus and they had a new graduate program and on linkedin I saw that one of the people who got the position last year quite literally had 20+ years of experience but is considered a new graduate because he decided to do his masters degree a year before. There is quite literally no way I can compete against applicants like that. @corona honestly!!! It's so hard to compete with people when there's DOZENS of people with so much experience that give us new grads a hard time... No one is willing to take a chance on us and it's not fair it's not our fault at all. Lol clearly I have extremely bad luck since I've yet to get a group interview. They should have programs for those who finished their undergrad only. And actually pay attention to the graduation dates. Quite unfair. I’m the April 2020 (bach) guy My group interview was with 3 masters students and another bach grad..... Lol companies don’t care about what’s fair, they care about what profitable. It’s a capitalist society lol. Eat or be eaten. Goodluck to everyone (I understand the frustration as also graduated in May- but a company will do what it considers profitable not what is fair) Yeah, from the companies that I have gotten interviews for, most of the interviewers (working in the position that I am interviewing for), have a masters degree. I am just graduating from a bachelors and I wanted to take a break and work prior to doing my masters, but it is somewhat discouraging to see that it will be hard to get a job with just a bachelors. To be honest I don't blame those people with masters degrees and experience applying for these entry level jobs either. The job search is just brutal right now so they are probably just trying to apply for jobs that they are more likely to get. I feel like the pandemic has also made is a lot harder. There aren't that many jobs out there that I feel qualified for and even when I do apply it mostly ends in a rejection without an interview. Yup I agree with that, the job market is so hard for everyone right now I interviewed for 2 positions in mid-October (Field Services and Finance). I have received emails this week and last week with interview process updates. One said they would be selecting final candidates by the end of last week (I still have not received an email). The other said that they will be reaching out to candidates next week. So it sounds like some departments will be coming to their decisions and updating candidates in the next week or so (hopefully). Still haven't received any update from the Network Graduate Leadership Program about updates on progress about when decisions are going to be made. If anyone has information about it that would be great. Really in the dark about the hiring process. Show more responses You could try emailing one of the interviewers, that is what I did to receive updates on the process. It's funny cuz I see COUNTLESS senior related positions and yet no one is applying to them... I still haven't received any email regarding final steps or next interview. I applied to 2 different lines of Field Services and the IT graduate leadership program. Idk why I haven't gotten an interview yet like if I'm not someone they're interested in they could just give me a rejection in the first place but instead it's November and the last they checked on my applications was the last week of October... Like ?? I think they have given the offer letters to people they find interesting and our applications are in the pool , incase someone rejects the offer or does not join the program our applications will be looked at which is really frustrating and insulting tbh....I have applied to the rogers graduate program and it says interview since 15th oct 2020 and has not been changed or neither have i got the interview request. Yeah, that's frustrating. Till now no updates. Still showing in progress. At the person who posted about Rogers and your status saying interview on October 15th Mine said the same thing on October 15th and I got an interview request later that day. Maybe reach out to the campus acquisition team. Their email is on the campus webpage. Thank you again for sharing your recent updates and thoughts. My two applications are still 'In Progress', one 'Technology Operations' ALL updated as of Oct. 29 And one 'Application Closed' For those who are frustrated concerning the educational background: I had been there, where my qualifications never even seemed competitive right after obtaining my Bachelor's. So I almost went straight to finish my Master's and guess what? I am put into the same situation since my M.Sc entitlement in June this year. Just from reading these comments here, I can certainly see that a number of Bachelor holders already had the group interview and some of them already got the offer when I didnt even have the group interview. fml.... Let's not blame on other factors rather find problems within ourselves. I am also frustrated and confused.. I thought that my listed awards, achievements, and high scores on my M.Sc transcript would already make my application more than qualified. Anyways thanks for reading my side story and wish you all the best luck in your job search! Any updates on application being viewed, interviews, offer, applications being closed, or anything else?? I got in touch with someone I did a group interview with and he hasn't heard back as of last Saturday. Just received a rejection email from field services today. @Anonym I'm really sorry to hear about that. I really hope you land a job soon. @Corona Thanks so much, I hope you're able to land one as well. I just got rejected from finance as well :'( Show more responses @Anonym omg that's really unfortunate that you got those rejections. :( At least you got an answer and can go on to better endeavours without feeling the anxiety of "will they" or "won't they"! All the best and hope you get a good placement :) I hope they will respond to everyone positively soon. I am still waiting for the interview. No response yet. Even tried to contact them by email but they are saying the process is going on. I got in touch with 2 of the people from my group interview and they haven't heard back any response in Network GLP. Seems like a decision hasn't been made for that position yet. is there anyone who applied for software development and got any call or interview after applying for the top 3 positions or video questionnaire? Please let me know. I got 2 rejections today after doing interviews, but one hiring manager let me know that they would forward my resume on to another department that is still hiring. There is still hope! :') Also, if you get a rejection, make sure to reply, say thank you, and let the person know that you're still interested in working with the company. They may know of other opportunities in different departments that you may be well suited for. If you did well in your interview, they may forward your resume to another hiring manager. Anyways, hopefully I'll be lucky enough to get another interview, and I'm wishing the best to everyone else as well! I did my video interview on 26th August 2020. I never got any reply. I left my hope but suddenly I received this email yesterday stating “Thank you for the interest you have expressed in the ON - 2021 Network Graduate Leadership Program position. We wanted to inform you that you are still in consideration as we are currently doing our due diligence and will come back to you as soon as we are ready to proceed with next steps.” Anyone on the same page? Please let me know. @Anonymous Wow August 26th and they are replying right now!!! I thought I had to wait awhile for a reply. Here's been my journey with the process 1) I applied for the Finance rotational program and Network GLP on September 8th and 9th. 2) Did a video questionnaire on September 10th 3) Applied for top 3 position in Network GLP on September 13th. 4) Got a call 2nd week October for a group interview the next week. 5) Attended the group interview in mid October for the Network GLP position. After the group interview I haven't really gotten any updates. On the career portal my applications were last seen on October 10th. I also reached out to some of the people I had my group interview with and they haven't heard back either. I did my network GLP group interview in first week of Oct. I also got that consideration email today. But one of the people I interviewed with already talked to hiring managers few weeks ago, so I kinda gave up hope, I am not sure to expect anything. Just waiting for that "we've moved on with other candidates" email now. Y’all lucky to get a response. 2 out of 3 is rejection. I’m moving on to other things. I’m tired. What are they asking in group interview? Show more responses Wow, I didn't get any of those emails yet! Or rejections! I didn't get any of that. God I dislike being in this limbo... Last "interview" I got was a video interview on September 10th. Have got nothing since then and I'm still in progress for the 3 positions I applied for. How frustrating. Honestly, It's best to let it go now. Forget it happened and move on to other opportunities. It's not worth the stress or time. Thank you for the interest you have expressed in the ATL - 2021 Network Graduate Leadership Program position. I wanted to inform you that you are still in consideration as we are currently doing our due diligence on our end and will come back to you as soon as we are ready to proceed with next steps. Hi guys I received this email today from Bell Network graduate leadership program. Anyone received this email?? And is it a gurantee that I will definitely get into the interview round?? Yesterday, I got same email. I got it too. But I've already done my interview. So..... Not sure what it means. It just means that they are looking for a software developer in Bedford, Nova Scotia. If you got the link to apply to your top 3 choices for Network GLP and you click on software developer for ATL you'll notice that the date the job got posted was 11/11/2020. I know the job posting had been taken down prior, because I've been keeping track of that. What must've happened was that one of the candidates that they gave the offer to ended up rejecting it and they are looking for another software developer in their place for specifically that location. I haven’t received any such email. Buy my all applications are still in process. And on two applications it's showing "Technology Operations" and "Accounting and finance". Did you apply for the software developer position in Atlantic Canada within the Network Graduate Leadership Program? What are the group interview questions they are asking?? I didn't do a software developer group interview so I'm not sure. I know there is at least one person in this thread who got a group interview for the software developer position. Show more responses Did you happen to get a group interview? @ corona I applied for both ATL and ON software development. My application for ATL last viewed on 6 Nov. But haven’t received any email. My application was seen today. status changed from in progress to application received. What does that mean? @Anonymous I had one of my position do the same thing.. It changed from In progress>Accounting and Finance>Application Received. I think they might be sending out applications to different departments to review our Resume for that group. I might be wrong too, just a thought. For another position I received email that we are still reviewing applications and yo are still under consideration. All we can do is wait unfortunately. All of mine are still in progress. Application still hasn't been looked at since October 10th. None of the emails either. An update from Bell would've been nice. Has anyone heard back after the interview? I haven't heard back from the group interview that I've done. Has anyone here applied to the IT graduate program (ON)? I heard that they are still in the process of hiring candidates. On my Rogers application, status is position filled. If my application was good they should at least give me an interview chance. so before watching my application they did all the hiring processes. I don’t know. what to say. @ Anonym yeah, I applied. The application is still in progress. Show more responses So for network graduate leadership program is it in progress for you guys or application received??? Also anyone know what the difference is between application received and in progress??? I don't know what the difference is but all of mine say in progress, even the ones I was already rejected from lol @corona Did group interview (Network GLP), still says in progress. For mine all of the positions in the Network GLP are still in progress. Btw have any of your applications been looked at recently? Mine are still all dead from October 10th. Also has anyone gotten in touch with them about how long the recruiting process is going to take??? I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like it is taking way too long to get a response. @Corona Yeah, one of my applications was looked at on November 17. Status changed from "Accounting and Finance" to "Application Recieved". Any one heard anything after the bell media assignments? I didn't apply for bell media positions... I did get my application looked at tho on Nov 15th and it's still in progress... Also I had a weird experience where a new grad job I applied for at Bell disappeared (didn't get a rejection either). Don't know what that's about. Show more responses I was interviewed in Oct(second week) for network GLP group interview. I have been in touch with hiring manager like quite a few times now but every time gets the same answer as we're still in consideration. One of my group mate got the offer though. Not sure how much time it's gonna take now. @Bell when did your group mate receive the offer?? @Bell Also what position did you apply for if you don't mind me asking? @Bell For which position were you interviewed? I applied for software development in ON and ATL region. For these status is In progress. But for network application status is Application received Withdrawing my application from Bell and deleting my profile. Got an offer with Rogers which I think treats their candidates with respect. @User Congrats on the Rogers offer! @User Congrats on the Rogers offer! @User Congrats on the Rogers offer! @User Congrats on the Rogers offer! @User Congrats on the Rogers offer! Show more responses Omg sorry the button glitched my bad @ User Congratulations on the Rogers offer.... .best of luck😀 Thanks y’all. Someone posted on LinkedIn accepting their Finance internship at bell, I think the decisions are coming out this week / early next week @ User congrats on the Rogers offer! I got application closed on November 27th for one of the BI positions when I checked the site (it's the 26th today...) And here I thought the speed interview would've helped... Pretty frustrated but what can I do? I thought my co-op experience and GPA would be enough but I guess not... I hope we all get a good position. Hey guys, any updates? Mine changed to Technical specialist... not sure if this is an intern position. Still haven’t heard back anything. How do you guys contact the hr team? I find no info on the career page... Should we start a DiScOrD? First of all, congrasts to those who accepted the Bell offer or rather accepted one from other company. Not gonna lie. I almost withdrawn my remaining 3 applications as this is way too stupid to have false hope.. you know what I mean. I just received this 'follow -up' email from Bell for the first time saying that I am still in a consideration of 'Technical Specialist' position when I did not even have the in-person interview.. idk guys I feel that I am still being fooled. Recent master's degree with good academic scores wouldn't satisfy them ............... any comment? I also got those follow up emails today, seem automated for the remaining people in the resume pool. Haha, if you having masters haven’t heard back, RIP for me with Bach. It’s tough times at the moment, my group interview was with 3 Masters and 1 Bach so I pretty much forgot about it after few days, and still haven’t heard back, but I do know one of the masters people got offer after. Show more responses Was the follow up for ATL or ON positions? I also got the follow up email for Technical Specialist!! Maybe we all potentially have a shot? One for Atl - IT new grad The other only said techincal specialist - which I only applied in ON, so my guess is ON I also got that follow up email today. I also got the follow up email for ATL on Dec 3rd Is the technical specialist an internship program or permanent full time ? I am so confused since they have many programs. Did someone hear back after the follow up email? I got the follow up email in December and haven't heard back since lol. I also haven’t heard back anything. One or more comments have been removed. |
Market Analyst at Nielsen was asked...
My interview started with she asking me questions from my resume. She asked me how my job related to the Market Analyst position and then she asked me some behavioural questions: • What a good team was for me and tell an example of a time I worked with a team and achieved good results • In my view, how my relationship with the manager should be and how I managed this relationship in the past • Why I want to work for Nielsen and what are my future goals • What are my three major strengths • Where do l think I need to improve After that she asked me: • about my salary range and if the proposed salary and benefits was OK for me • if I am legally able to work in Canada, and • when I am available to start They then finally concluded the interview by reviewing the position, the company, the future perspectives and trainings with me. If you succeed, Nielsen will contact you and you will get a case to present in your final interview along with two managers (people that will work with you – your manager and the account director). So, this third interview will also be conducted in person with the person who would make the final decision about hiring. For the case, you will likely be given some sales data for Company A and will have to prepare a short powerpoint presentation incorporating this data. This will test three things: 1. Your ability to analyze the data 2. You ability to provide recommendations based on the analysis 3. You presentation style / ability to remain calm and professional 2 AnswersA good advice is: if you do not know the answer to one of their questions regarding the case, do not pretend to know it and try to talk around it. You may not believe me, but they do not expect you to be an expert and would rather you say something like, “No, I did not notice that” or “I will look into that later” (the 2nd response would be more for presenting to clients) than pretending to know something and trying to talk AROUND it. It happened to me, and this is a test to test you. Don’t fall for that! As for the interview, it started with a brief introduction followed by the business case analysis and a final discussion about the company and the position: introduction: the 2 minutes introductory speech, how my past experience relates to the position, why I want to work at Nielsen and some specific questions (computer skills, experience with what type of analysis, and type of negotiations and seminars conducted) business case: I present the case over 10 minutes (case review, conclusion and recommendations - focusing on the action plan and matrix). I was asked to point-out the three main issues (lost of distribution, lack of product on the shelves, impact of the package decrease), if it would be a good idea to decrease even more the price to solve the problem (which I said no), and which recommendations would give immediate impact on the business (those related to distribution). discussions about the company and the position: the interviewers explained me that I would be working along with a team of consultants nationwide. As Market Analyst I would get three weeks of initial training and work at the office. (Visits to clients are reserved to Senior Analysts - so I can expect to do it perhaps after 1-2 years). My advice here is that due to my comprehensive preparation I was confident and I think they realized it and appreciated the amount of effort I have dedicated to the business case and searching the firm. I tried to "break the ice" by trying to engage all of them in the conversation and my answers, and because they were all very friendly and nice, the interview occurred in a relaxed and outgoing way. So, as you see, from my experience all three interviews went very well. Everybody was very nice and because the analytic test you will have to take determines your level of skill, the interviews will determine more of a fit. GOOD LUCK!!! Could you please tell me how long did it take Nielsen to extend an offer to you after the final third round case interview ? also, did you negotiate the salary / benefits ? |

Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company was asked...
The business cases were not too challenging for undergraduate students. We were not required to take the Problem Solving Test. The behavioural questions were pre-given to us, ie. example of leadership, biggest personal impact story etc. 1 AnswerCONFIDENCE is key. Consider laying out your behavioural answers as if they were cases. |
Senior Developer at CPP Investments was asked...
Almost all behavioral questions were unexpected because in other companies it is usually reserved for HR round, not technical. 2 AnswersI replied truthfully and they appeared shocked by my answers each time, which was entertaining to observe. This is true. I experienced it as well. I thought it was weird that behavioural questions were asked outside of the initial HR round. This to me meant that the managers didn't read HRs notes on the candidate. It seems like everyone at that firm is running around like a headless chicken. |
Didn't ask many questions. Just looked at my resume and asked what i have been doing since 2011 after graduation. 1 AnswerI wanted to tell him to look carefully at my resume to see i have done my masters and worked after that. Just told him i got into grad school aftet that. |

What do you think will be your biggest challenge in this position? 1 AnswerMy biggest challenge for this position will be: - To familiarise with old and new Suppliers or vendors of the Structure, their ways of doing business and maintaining a cordial relationship with them. - Finding qualified Suppliers and getting them to do their job in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Structure. - Having to bring all stakeholders to realise the job in accordance with the five Rights in procurement which are Right Quality, Right Quantity, Right Time, Right price and Right Place. - Reducing Lead Time and optimizing a system to automate Procurement processes taking into consideration that this is a Health Sector where any delay in supply can be disastrous to the life of the patient. - With the rise of automated operations and online shopping, I will need to have a smooth buying experience, and keep accurate data of all main vendors of the Structure and their services as well as secondary vendors in case of emergency. |
