I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at William Hill (Ilford, England) in Mar 2017
Interview
The online application & assessment was fairly straight forward. The interview was really relaxed and before the competency based questions below, I was asked why I left my last job and to talk a bit about myself. The interviewer explained the process of taking up employment, which consists of 13 weeks on the job training and spoke a lot about the progression opportunities within the company and the benefits of working for William Hill.

Interview
You complete an online application with multiple choice that show your personality, work style and decision making skills, and then scenario based questions. If you pass that, the next and last stage is an interview.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer
The interviewer was remarkably welcoming and the entire process was fairly casual. The questions focused on customer experience history and were straightforward. Perhaps this was unique to the personality of the interview, but they were very conversational.

Interview
I applied online, I got a telephone call with a manager a few days later with simple questions about availability and right to work in the Uk.
I then got an interview in person with the Area Manager in London. They asked me lot of examples about how to cope with a rude customer, how to work well in a team, which kind of standards I am used to follow etc.
