I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Viasat (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
Quite relaxed and easy. I applied online, talked to them in person, and got a few phone calls ~3 weeks later. The first was from HR asking basic eligibility/availability questions, the second was a lightweight technical interview with simple questions. The third was an offer.

Interview
Fairly Simple, selected from Campus Recruitment. Spoke to the representative at the career fair, they were interested in me since I was a junior now and offered me an interview for the very next day.

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Viasat in Dec 2016
Interview
Met a representative at a career fair, and then got invited for an on-campus interview about a month later. Interview lasted about half an hour, and was pleasant overall. Had no technical questions, which was very surprising, since that's all I prepared for. Talked the whole time about my internship experiences, and my side projects.
