I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2010
Interview
This required applying to the PhD program, so while there was not an interview process, per se, to be accepted into a PhD program entails talking with various professors about how your research interests match up with theirs, which sort of turn out to be informal interviews.
I have three rounds of interviews by the different people asking questions about research experiences and interests. They also asked why chose this school. They are really nice and the interview is not very hard.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Questions with lab director in determining researching strengths and goals and which project would best fit your interests and help you in your career. Also, usually a tour of the lab to help you figure out layout. Team members may or may not be present during interview

they didn't ask me anything. most of it was just were you interested in so and so's research. i think the profs were trying to recruit us and nobody was rejected during the "interview"
