I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Grand Island, NY) in Jan 2013
Interview
Initial phone screening with company recruiter and hiring manager. The next round was an onsite tour of the facility and interview, it lasted about 4 hours. Interviewed with HR, hiring manager, technical experts and employees in the specific department. Each person had a personality trait (e.g. time management, conflict resolution) that they asked specific questions about.

Question 1
Give me a specific example of a time when you were having difficulty working with a peer. What was the problem and what was the outcome?
Smooth and informal. Very friendly interaction. Interview was more of understanding my personality and character whether I’m fit for the role. Interviewer also showed me around the laboratory to introduce the machines
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Singapore) in Feb 2025
Interview
I applied on the website and was contacted by HR after a few days. I had to answer some questions regarding my knowledge via email first before interview date was confirmed. The interview was with direct QC team supervisor and project lead. There were no follow-ups once the interview ended.

Question 1
How did you improve lead time? Have you heard of this software before?
I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Eindhoven)
Interview
I found their recruitment process quite unusual due to several inconsistencies between the information provided by HR and that discussed during the technical interview. They are seeking someone to work full-time in the lab, but this requirement was neither clearly communicated during the HR interview nor outlined in the job description. Additionally, the lab environment may not be suitable for everyone, as it lacks windows. It would have been more transparent to disclose these details during the initial call rather than revealing them through questions in the technical interview. This approach gave the impression that they might be attempting to mislead candidates.
