HR contact was polite and easy to talk to. However, she started the conversation saying "are you ok with working long hours and weekends". The position was for an Events Specialist, so of course I was okay with that and ready to work overtime. As I've worked 16+ hours/day in the past and had no problem with it. However, she mentioned that they don't provide overtime since it was a salary position. And that the CA law said only hourly positions under $30 could get overtime. That is an obvious lie and I don't appreciate that they wouldn't be willing to pay overtime for a salaried position - they know events work long hours.. She also said she would schedule a second interview with me, but never got back to me.
