Teck Resources Interview Questions

The interview process was seamless, and the recruiter was very friendly. Job is in remote area keep that in mind but many opportunities available. Competitive salary package with great benefits.

Interview was well organized and thought out. I feel the questions asked required answers that were well thought out and led into insights on my working habits and how I would fit within their structure

Applied online, received interview request within a week, had to complete personality/IQ assessment prior. Day of, the interview at best was a profiling/pre-screen meet, as I was not interviewed by the hiring team/manager. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed overall with the experience and questions being asked; in particular being asked about my pronouns, especially with this question is listed on the application form. Additionally half of the questions being asked were related to expectations on compensation, benefits, what's a fair offer for consideration etc., while being told they have no influence/say in this...umm ok? Finally ended with being ghosted until I followed up with the hiring manager. Bit of a shame, as this offputs any future interest of mine and/or my peers as well.

Video Interview. Asked basic behavioral questions and then a few questions specifically tailored to the role. Interviewers were very nice and accommodating. Got a response promptly 2 days after interview.

1st round HR interview 2nd round with hiring manager HR might take some time. The interview was a combination of behavioural and technical questions. Other people from the team might join for subsequent interviews.

there was a first round with an HR rep. A second round with the hiring manager. The interview consisted both technical and behavioural/personality questions. HR did take some time to move to next steps. Subsequent interviews would potentially include others from the hiring manager's team or group.

It was a set of questions that I answered. They are basic questions plus one question about excel spreadsheet . Other questions was as basic as my name and e mail

I had several interviews, the first was with HR as a phone interview/ screening. Then I had a second phone interview. Then the last interview was on zoom with HR and the department manager

There were 3 stages, first was phone interview with HR, then phone with hiring manager and final was fit interview with hiring manager and another manager, including HR. They asked about skills and regular scenario based questions

Interview process was unnecessarily long with way more people involved than needed. Had interviews with other mines that were all far simpler. Not sure if this is because Teck is willing to hire people with no experience where other mines require previous experience?
