Steven M. is an extremely rude and unprofessional waste of payroll, and could easily be replaced with an automated calendar app like Calendly. I was contacted by a third party recruiter at Technology Navigators in late March 2023 for this position. The recruiter I worked with, Tom, was courteous and professional and kept me updated despite all the delays from the hiring manager. After more than a month we finally got the first interview scheduled and I had a good experience with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, despite the positive feedback from the hiring manager, we were never able to schedule a second interview. Nearly two weeks after the first interview, I finally get word from Tom that they're ready to schedule the second interview, and we confirmed a time and date. I even scheduled an interview with a different company at a later date because I blocked my calendar for this one. I was assured that I would be contacted by Steven M. to discuss the position and confirm my scheduled interview with the hiring manager, and that this same individual would be able to answer questions about the employer. I did not hear a peep from Steven M. on the day before or the day of the interview. I contacted Tom but he was unable to get any updates from Steven M. After blocking my calendar for an interview I received no meeting invitation and no phone call from Steven M. as promised. Then, that following Monday, I received a phone call very early in the morning (7:40 AM Pacific time) from who I thought was some sleazy used car salesman, but it turns out it was actually Steven M. from Technology Navigators begging for me to reschedule the interview after he ghosted me. He knew NOTHING about the actual day to day of the job when I asked (just repeated stuff from the JD) and was not even remotely apologetic about his absolute failure to schedule my interview. He was extremely pushy and seemed like he just wanted to get me off the phone as fast as possible. Respecting my time and working with my busy schedule was nothing more than an inconvenience to this joker. Steven M. is an unbelievably rude and unprofessional individual and I feel sorry for the people who have to work for him. I made sure to let Steven M. know this in more colorful terms before ending my phone call with him. P.S. - if you work in Central time you need to check the time before you call someone who lives on the west coast. Otherwise you might get your head bitten off by a cranky candidate that you just ghosted. You would think someone who's job is to work with candidates across the country would understand this, but Steven M. does not. Don't be Steven M.
