Executive Team Leader - Assets Protection Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jan 2011

      Interview

I initially applied online and was then called back by the recruiter within 3 days. She was very friendly and on our first conversation she discussed in very good detail the ways of the retail world. Having never been in retail before, it was very helpful in making my decision to move forward with the process. We then had an official phone interview a week later that lasted approximately 45 minutes. This was a combination of personality questions and availability questions as retail hours are much more flexible than typical 9 - 5 businesses. After passing the phone interview, I was scheduled a week later to meet with the Assets Protection Business Partner for an in person interview. That interview consisted of several questions that were in the S.T.A.R. format: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Most of those questions start with "Tell me about a time when...". Immediately after my interview with the Business Partner, I interviewed with the District Team Leader. This is the person who is in charge of group of Stores within a particular area. This consisted of more S.T.A.R. questions. After this interview I was asked to take an Intelligence Test. A few days after I took this test, I received an e-mail stating I passed and that I would be contacted by a recruiter. I was contacted a day after the e-mail was sent. I was then scheduled for a job shadow with a local ETL-AP for approximately 2 hours. He showed my the basics of what really happens on the job and it was very interesting. Finally, I was scheduled for my final interview with the head of HR for the group and the Group Executive. Three days after that final interview I was offered the job; of which I accepted. I was then required to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation that took about 1 week. Overall, it was a bit long for my liking, but all of the people I met were very kind and I don't regret 1 minute of the entire process.

      Interview

interviewed with Recruiter on the phone. Next step is in person interview with the Business partner(district manager)and Store manager. I felt the interview went really well. They interviewed me very fast about 15-20 min. Either they made it fast, because they already had someone lined up for the position, or they they did not like something about me right away.

      Application

The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Target (New York, NY)

      Interview

Received email from regional recruiter. Responded back and had informal interview same day. Set a formal interview for the following week. In person interview with store manager and Asset Protection Business Partner 2 weeks later, had avery positive experience and was forwarded to final interview with Regional Asset Protection Director and District Store Manager. Was very positive and seemed to go well. I did not hear anything for over a month. Sent emails and phone calls but no one responded. Come to find out position was filled by a lateral. Thought it was very unprofessional not to hear anything, whether positive or negative
