Question 1
Asked about process validation and general experience
I applied online. I interviewed at TC BioPharm (Glasgow, Scotland) in Nov 2022
Interview
First interview took place online, via Teams, the questions were based on work experience. Second interview took place on site, with the director of the department and the manager of the team. Questions were more HR oriented, to determine personality, but whitout HR person on site as Glasgow probably doesn't have one, or it's just one person. There is a third part of interview which I didn't get. Neither job advertisment nor interviews specified the salary, I was asked to offer a range that I would be interested to. After being unsuccesful as candidate, asked for a feedback which I never got.

Question 1
Describe a stressful situation and how you managed it.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TC BioPharm in Dec 2021
Interview
The whole process was assisted by a recruiter and was fast.
In short, applying for two positions, they selected me for the role in the CAR-T technology. I have no hands-on experience with CART. Went through two interviews and a chat with HR. They regarded me as an outstanding candidate; the interviews went well, yet after the chat with HR, I was told they did not want to proceed further because they could not meet my salary expectation (while they didn't even want to discuss it). In addition, they felt I was unprepared for the interviews and failed the technical question about CART development.
Details: The first interview was over the phone with the research manager; very friendly, and we had a great discussion. There were general questions, what I know about the company and their pipeline, followed by some questions about project planning and execution, and some technical questions about flow cytometry, gamma/delta T cells and protein/antibody production. They came back to me after 2 h to arrange a 2nd interview. This time, there was also a product manager. It was a MS teams video call, and I had to prepare a 10min presentation. The questions were literally the same as in the first interview but with a bit more depth, while they also asked me technical questions about CART production. Not having hands-on experience, I could only provide theoretical knowledge. Overall they gave me positive feedback during the interview. They seemed to be keen on helping out with/ offering professional development and a possibility to work from home (data analysis). Unfortunately, there was no clear picture about their organisation of research teams - no clarity on how many research teams they have, how are they organised or how many people per research team are there. They also did not answer questions about what is the employee turnaround.
The 2nd interview was followed by a chat with HR. The benefits include: health insurance, standard holiday allowance, free parking, no sick leave, no paid overtime, some flexibility on working hours but only if you start before 9 am (which you agree on when signing the contract), no bonus; relocation service but you have to pay back if you do not stay with them for at least 2-3 years. None of it looked great but still acceptable to give it a try taking into account the exciting pipeline and friendly experience at the interviews. Nevertheless, the HR clarified my previous question - the company is putting together completely new research groups hence they do not know how many members there will be. They didn't have a clue about the employee turnaround. Reading the reviews here made me dubious and then receiving their double faced response just confirmed some of the comments made here on glassdoor. Disappointed how they came out as their pipeline is very exciting and I think it has a great potential.

general questions, what I know about the company and their pipeline, followed by some questions about project planning and execution, and some technical questions about flowcytometry, gamma/delta T cells, protein/antibody production, and development of CART. Also some personality time questions; how would your colleges describe you in 3 words and why?
