I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Staples in Oct 2009
Interview
Initial interview was over the phone with the recruiter. The recruiter asked basic questions about my job history listed on my resume. The recruiter felt I would be a good fit for the position and passed me onto the next step in the process - a face to face with the District Sales Manager. Met with the DSM for an hour and was passed onto the next step which is an interview with the Regional Sales Director. I had an hour phone call with the RSD, covered my work history, and lastly my work ethic. The RSD was impressed with my background and skills. He had the recruiter call me the same day with an offer. I negotiated the base and quickly accepted.
Overall, a positive experience. My advice to applicants is to learn everything they can about the company and the position - basically do your research. You will be 2 steps ahead of the other applicants.

I applied online. I interviewed at Staples (Cleveland, OH) in Mar 2016
Interview
One phone interview with a recruiter, two in person interviews with the area sales manager and the regional sales manager and one ride along with one of the B2Bs. They were spaced out and took a lot of time. I didn't get to start working until about 6 weeks after being offered the job.

Question 1
How do you get to the decision maker when making a sale?
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Staples
Interview
The hiring process was quick. There was an initial call with the sales manager to see if we would be a fit for one another. Basic behavior questions that demonstrate attitude and activity. The next step was an in person interview. Much of the same was asked in the portion of the interview - a few more questions about experience that would be considered relevant. I was invited to shadow a current rep for a day. That went well and I was invited for the final interview. In all I met with three different people and was given the position.
