I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sleep Number Corporation (Denver, CO) in Aug 2009
Interview
The interview for the sales rep position was very relaxed, and the interviewer did have scripted questionsthat were asked - example - Tell me about a time when you had to get creative to make a sale, how do you handle stress, tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer, co-worker, boss, tell me your greatest strengths and weaknesses, how comfortable are you with opening or closing a store by yourself, etc. Store manager and a partner store manager were both present - interviews were done 1:1, one at a time. District manager interview was scheduled the following day.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
If you had to change one thing about yourself in order to be more successful, what would it be?
If you were training an associate who was new to the position that was having difficulty "getting it" and they continued to make the same mistakes over and over again, how would you handle it? What would your course of action be?

Interview
Warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment. The process didn't feel rushed or slow and was more of a conversation rather an interview with questions sprinkled in between. You also get to sample the mattresses to experience and familiarize yourself with the product you'll be selling. The hardest part of the interview was not falling asleep on the mattresses.
