I had my first in-person interview with the technical team and felt it went well. The next step was a second interview with the CEO, which never happened and definitely threw me off. I was notified of the second interview in a very positive manner by the team and was told that the CEO was to contact me through text. At the time, my cell phone was being repaired, and I didn't have access to it. I mentioned this to the team and did my best to work around it by trying to coordinate through email. Immediately after my email, I was told that the CEO is taking a different direction. This all happend within hours on the same day. As soon as I received my cell phone two days later, I made sure to text back the CEO to thank him for his time and consideration. No response back. Putting it all together, I am very thankful I saw the truth through this experience, avoiding a potentially negative workplace where there is no regard for employee personal matters that can come up.
