I was refered by a friend to apply for the position. I was then contacted via phone for a 30 min prescreen interview. A week later I was scheduled for a one on one interview with the assistant store manager. I sat down with the ast manager, I gave her my resume, she sat there for a few minutes and did not ask any questions. So I opened up the discussion about my qualifications, which I felt I was over qualifed for, having a B.S. in Exercise Science and eight years in the Fitness Industry, multiple sales awards, eight years management experience. She still was not asking any of the tipical questions that would be on an interview, so I began asking questions that I had prepaired. She was not very informative about the department and had no basic knowlege about revenues generated per square foot, what challeges or opportunities for improvements there were. Needless to say I was not impressed. About a month ago I had applied for an Assistant Store Manager position with the same company and was not even accepted for an interview. I now sit in front of an Ast Manager with 34 years in the company who is suppose to be asking me challenging questions.I was thinking to my self, here is a person who is in a position that I was denied an interview for and I was the one running the interview. Not a company that I want to work for!!!!!
