I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Scarborough, ON) in May 2009
Interview
I was contacted by email one month after applying online, asking me to respond with my resume if I was still interested in the position. The position in the email was not the position I had applied for.
After my email response I was contacted within two days to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was a standard behavioral interview. I was a bit disappointed that the HR person did not seem to know anything about me, even though I had expected her to have at least glanced at my resume before calling me. I was then invited to set up a computer skills test, where they tested my ability to follow instructions, adapt to new ways of doing things,as well as accuracy. The last one was the in person interview, which consisted of myself, an HR person taking notes and a manager from the team I would be joining. Again, nothing fancy here, just the standard situational, behavioral questions. I received a call about one week later, offering me the position.
